• Any submission that does not follow our guidelines will be automatically rejected.

• All work must be written in English. If your piece is written in another language, please include an English translation. If accepted, both versions may be published.

• Contributors must be between 13 and 19 years old to submit (Ink & Butterflies is a youth magazine).

• We accept works that have been previously published, but you must notify us where they were first published.

• Submissions sent by email will not be considered. Please submit your work through the official submission form.

Poetry
• Up to 5 poems of any length in different documents.

Prose
• 1–2 pieces (maximum 3000 words).
• Includes fiction, short stories, essays, and creative nonfiction.
• We do not accept novel excerpts.

Art / Photography
• Submit 1–2 high-resolution images of visual art, illustrations, or photography.

• Doesn't contain hate speech, sexual content, or extreme violence.
• Is completely original and created by you (NO AI!!)
• Follows the guidelines listed on this page.
• Relates to the theme of the current issue. Submissions unrelated to the theme may be rejected.

• Written submissions must be sent as a Google Doc or Word document (.doc / .docx).
• If submitting a Google Doc, please enable commenting access.
• We do not accept written submissions as photos.

• Submissions must include sumiter's name and piece's title
